CBO Projects A Fourth Year of $1Trillion-Plus Deficits
Fox News

A new budget report released Tuesday predicts the U.S. government will run a $1.1 trillion deficit in the fiscal year that ends in September, the fourth year in a row over $1 trillion, though a slight dip from last year.

The new figures also show that last summer's budget and debt pact has barely made a dent in the government's fiscal woes.

The pact imposed $2.1 trillion in spending cuts over 10 years, but lawmakers are already talking about easing across-the-board spending cuts required under the agreement.

To top it off, another politically toxic increase in the debt limit will be needed at some point shortly after the November elections.

NewsDay Tuesday

By now, the whole world knows that a great man, Joe Paterno, passed away this weekend.  I came to know, respect and admire him through my husband, who absolutely LOVES 'JoPa' and Penn State football.  So today's NewsDay Tuesday is to introduce you to someone I wish everyone could have known and to pay tribute to a legend.  You will be missed JoPa...

Music Monday

A friend of mine posted just a single line on Facebook "He is jealous for me..."  I think every one of her friends chimed in a line and we have a large portion of the song posted now in the comments...Like a song we are all singing together online.  I don't have the words to describe how I feel when I hear and sing this song.  I at once want to scream it loud with joy...and quietly whisper it in awe...

Family Friday

So this Friday was wonderful in its boring-ness.  We all got home from work and school and took a trip to the grocery store.
After spending WAY more than I am used to on groceries, due to all of the "help" I had picking things out, we rented Kung Fu Panda 2 and headed home.
Nothing fancy, but a great night anyway!

Thankful Thursday

A few things I have been thankful for this week:

1. My Husband

2. My Parents
3. Date Night
4. Dreams
5. Getting Things Done

Wikipedia Blackout: Websites...Go Dark to Protest SOPA, PIPA
ABC News
PIPA, the Protect IP Act in the Senate, and SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, have been presented as a way to protect movies studios, record labels, and others.  Supporters range from the Country Music Association to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce...But the Internet giants say the bills could require your Internet provider to block websites that are involved with digital file sharing.  And search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing could be atopped from linking to them - antithetical, they say, to the ideal of an open Internet...

MLK Jr Monday

"...we hold these truths to be SELF-EVIDENT, that all men are created EQUAL...they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER...knowing we will be able to WORK together, to PRAY together, to STRUGGLE together, go to JAIL together, to stand up for FREEDOM together, knowing that we will be FREE one day...we will be able to speed up that day when ALL of God's children: black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: FREE at last, FREE at last, THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, we are FREE at last."

Family Friday

Oh, what a wonderful Family Friday this was!!  Got to work extra early, and at the end of a very productive day, got a surprise phone call from Hubby informing me that he had set up a couples massage for us!
After our hour of relaxation, we picked Little Man up from school (who passed an AR test and got a star for his behavior) and had dinner at a Japanese Steak House.  Yum!
I couldn't ask for a better way to end the week with my family!
